Smart Home Life

It sees your whole home. Now it runs it.

Apple Home, Google Home, and SmartThings in one app, deduped into a single list. See every device, then actually control it: lights, scenes, locks with Face ID, the garage, thermostats, even Philips Hue. One home, one app.

Smart Home Life Home Hub
New · Console

Your home, sized for the room you're in.

Glance at it on your phone. Stand it on the counter as a wall display. Let it settle into a calm night face that wakes when you walk past. One app, three states.

Console wall display on iPad

Free glance tiles built in. Console $7.99 unlocks live camera, energy, vehicle and appliance tiles, custom boards, and the wall and night faces. Included in the bundle.

Every ecosystem in one deduped list

Not just a dashboard. A remote for the whole house.

For two years this app only watched. Now it acts. Tap a tile and it does the thing, across every ecosystem you own.

Lights and scenes
Dim, color, or run a whole scene in one tap. Hue direct, plus HomeKit and SmartThings.
Locks and garage
Lock up and close the garage behind a Face ID confirm. No accidental taps.
Climate
Set the temperature and mode from the same screen you check it on.
One deduped home
Devices on two platforms show once, not twice. The list finally matches your house.
New · Guest Access

Hand guests the house, not an app.

A door code plus the lights, plugs, and scenes you choose, shared as a link. Your guest taps it and controls exactly that from any phone browser. No app to install, no Apple ID, no account to create.

Passes are time-boxed: they start at check-in, end at checkout, and shut off on their own. The door code rides your SmartThings lock.

Guest Access $6.99, one time. Included in the $19.99 bundle. Receiving a pass is always free.

What’s new

New in 3.5

Pulled straight from the current App Store release notes, live since July 23, 2026. When the next version ships, this section updates itself.

NEW The measured Thread map
Every Thread app guesses. This one asks. Smart Home Life now reads the routing tables your Thread devices keep and draws the real thing: which router each device talks through, shown with your device names and real product photos instead of anonymous hex codes. A ranked list of routers with their devices beneath them, plus a zoomable map grouped by network. Free, on iOS 18 and later.
NEW Mesh Health, a verdict instead of a graph
The app tracks how often each device loses its place in the mesh and says it plainly: Settled, Restless, or Struggling, with the fix spelled out ("Move it closer to the Kitchen HomePod or add a router between them"). Struggling devices surface right in Home Health as hanging on by a thread, and a daily background check keeps the verdict fresh. Part of Network Intelligence.
NEW Split network detection
Many smart home hubs quietly start their own separate Thread network instead of joining the one you already have, and devices on different networks cannot route for each other. The app now names every Thread network it finds and warns you when your home is split. Free.
NEW Every link, with receipts
Tap any connection for its measured strength in dBm, its quality rating, and how often the device switched routers, since restart and week over week. Weak links draw dashed red so they stand out. Part of Network Intelligence.
IMPROVED Thread tools
Pull down to rescan any time, share the whole map as an image or a PDF, and the map opens fitted to your screen and scrolls like a page.
FIXED Fixes
Guide rewards reliably open your unlocked guides. Distances and prices now follow your region settings, the app is about 20 MB lighter, and dozens of small fixes from a full app audit ride along, including faster, hang-proof mesh scans.

Questions

The honest answers.

What's free, and what's paid?
These stay free forever with no account: Thread Mesh Visualizer, Protocol Breakdown, Room Coverage Map, Lifespan Tracker, Outage Monitor, Bandwidth Check, and the Pairing Code Vault. Your Apple Home devices show free; pulling Google Home and SmartThings into one deduped list comes with Network Intelligence. The power tools are one-time purchases: Network Intelligence, Home Watch, Console, Pair Vault Premium, Energy Insights, and Guest Access. The bundle is $19.99 for all of it, and every paid tool starts with a 7-day free trial.
Is there a subscription?
No. You buy a tool once and own it. Nothing renews, nothing expires.
Does it actually control my devices?
Yes. Lights, scenes, locks and the garage (behind Face ID), thermostats, and Philips Hue, across Apple Home, Google Home, and SmartThings. It used to only watch. Now it runs the house.
What is Console?
A dashboard mode that scales to where you are: a glance on your phone, a calm wall board on the counter, and a true-black night face that wakes on motion. Free glance tiles are built in; $7.99 unlocks the live tiles, custom boards, and the wall and night faces.
What is Guest Access?
A time-boxed pass for guests: a door code on your SmartThings lock plus any lights, plugs, or scenes you pick. Guests control it from a web link in any browser, with no app and no Apple ID, and the pass shuts off on its own at checkout. Sharing is the $6.99 unlock; receiving a pass is always free.
Who builds this?
One person, Anthony, who bought all 189 devices with his own money. Zero gifted, zero paid. If it fails in my home, it leaves the list.
