Devices I actually use in my own home.

Smart Lighting Smart Hub
This is the brain of my entire Lutron setup. Every Caseta switch and dimmer in the house connects through this little hub, and it integrates perfectly with Apple Home, Alexa, and Google. Setup took minutes, and it’s been rock-solid since day one.

Bridge
The Hue Bridge unlocks the full potential of every Philips Hue light in the house — automations, scenes, and away-from-home control all run through it. It’s the command center for my Hue ecosystem and pairs seamlessly with Apple Home.

Nest Cam Indoor (wired, 3rd gen)
Sharp 2K video with night vision and smart alerts that actually distinguish between people, packages, and pets. I use these inside to keep an eye on things when we’re away, and the Google Home integration makes checking in effortless.

Nest Cam (2nd gen, battery)
The battery option gives me flexibility to mount cameras where there’s no outlet nearby. Same smart alerts and solid video quality as the wired version, and the battery life has been better than I expected for how often it records.

Nest Doorbell (2nd gen, wired)
Always-on recording means I never miss a package delivery or visitor. The tall camera view shows people head to toe and packages on the ground, which is exactly what you need from a doorbell cam. Wired power means no battery anxiety.

Smart Fan Speed Control Switch
Finally eliminated the pull chains on our ceiling fans. Four speed settings plus off, all controllable from the wall, the app, or Siri. Being able to include fan control in bedtime automations is a game-changer for comfort.

Smart Plug (2 Pack)
These turn any lamp into a smart light without changing the bulb. I use them for lamps that have unique or non-standard bulbs where a Hue bulb isn’t an option. Compact design doesn’t block the second outlet, which is a nice touch.

Original Smart Dimmer Switch ELV+
This is the dimmer you need for electronic low-voltage lighting like track and recessed fixtures. It handles ELV loads that regular smart dimmers can’t, and the dimming is buttery smooth with zero flicker. Worth the premium for the right application.

Original Smart Dimmer Switch
The workhorse of my smart lighting setup. These are on nearly every light switch in the house. Reliable dimming, works without a neutral wire, and the Pico remotes let me add wireless 3-way control anywhere without pulling new wire.

Original Smart Light Switch
For lights that don’t need dimming — like closets and utility areas — this smart switch does the job perfectly. Same rock-solid Caseta reliability and app control, just without the dimming function. Simple and effective.

Smart Play Light Bar (2Pack)
These light bars create an incredible wash of color behind my TV and monitors. The compact design lets you mount them almost anywhere, and cycling through scenes during movie night completely transforms the room’s atmosphere.

Smart Color Changing Table Lamp
Portable, rechargeable, and puts out beautiful color — the Hue Go table lamp moves wherever I need ambient light. Great for dinner parties on the patio or setting a mood in any room. The battery lasts long enough for a full evening.

Smart Color Changing Floor Lamp
The Signe Gradient floor lamp is a statement piece. It washes the wall with multiple colors simultaneously, creating an effect no single-color light can match. It’s become the centerpiece of our living room lighting design.

Smart 60W A19 LED Bulb
The standard Hue bulb that goes in most of our lamps and fixtures. Full color spectrum, reliable dimming, and they just work. I buy these whenever I need to add smart lighting to a new lamp — they’re the foundation of the Hue system.

Smart Slim 6 Inch LED Downlight
These slim downlights replaced our old recessed cans and the difference is night and day. Full color changing in a canless design that installs flush with the ceiling. Perfect for rooms where overhead lighting sets the entire mood.

75″ Smart Light Strip
The gradient effect behind the TV is stunning — multiple colors flowing along the strip simultaneously, synced to what’s on screen. It takes movie night to a whole other level. Pairs with the Hue Sync Box for real-time content matching.

Dimmable Smart Wireless Flood Light (2 Pack)
These outdoor-rated PAR38 flood lights handle the elements without issue and give me smart control over exterior lighting. Being able to schedule them to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise through Apple Home is exactly what I needed.

Smart Dimmer Switch with Remote
A wireless dimmer that sticks to any wall with no wiring needed. I use these as secondary controls in rooms where the main switch is inconveniently placed. The magnetic mount means the remote pops off to use as a handheld controller too.

Smart Gate Opener
Finally, my garage door works with Apple Home. The iSmartgate connects to the existing opener and gives me remote open/close, status monitoring, and Siri control. No more wondering if I left the garage open after driving away.

Level Lock Pro
The invisible design is genius. Looks like a normal deadbolt from outside but has touch-to-unlock, so I keep the aesthetics I want at the back door without losing smart features.

Schlage Encode Plus
Apple Home Key support means I just tap my iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock. No fumbling for keys, which makes this perfect for the front door where convenience matters most.

Door and Window Sensor
One of the first Matter-over-Thread contact sensors on the market. Tiny, responsive, and connects directly to Apple Home without needing an Aqara hub. I have these on doors and windows throughout the house for automations and alerts.

Water Guard
Peace of mind for under every sink and behind every appliance. The 6.5-foot sensing cable covers a wide area, and if it detects even a small amount of water, the siren and phone alert go off immediately. Thread keeps it reliably connected.

Temperature Sensor (3 Pack)
These sensors let the Nest thermostat read the temperature in different rooms instead of just at the thermostat. I have them in the bedrooms so the system prioritizes comfort where it matters most, especially at night.

Outdoor Motion Sensor
Triggers my outdoor Hue lights automatically when motion is detected after dark. The sensitivity and timing are adjustable in the app, and it’s weatherproof enough to handle rain and extreme temperatures year-round.

Nest Hub Max
The 10-inch display makes this the perfect kitchen companion — recipe videos, music, video calls, and a live view of every Nest camera in the house. It doubles as a digital photo frame when idle, which the family actually loves.

Arc Ultra
The Arc Ultra completely replaced our old surround sound setup. Dolby Atmos fills the room with spatial audio that you can actually feel, and it integrates with Apple Home so I can include it in scenes. The sound quality is in a different league.

Era 100
Compact but surprisingly powerful. I use Era 100s as rear surrounds paired with the Arc Ultra, and individually in smaller rooms. AirPlay 2 support means anyone in the house can cast music to them instantly.

Era 300
The spatial audio from the Era 300 is remarkable for a single speaker. The upward-firing driver creates a sense of height that fills the room. It’s become my go-to for dedicated music listening in the office.

Beam
The Beam fits perfectly under a bedroom TV where the Arc would be overkill. Still delivers Dolby Atmos in a compact form factor, and grouping it with other Sonos speakers for whole-home audio is seamless.

Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen)
After about a week, the Nest learned our schedule and started adjusting the temperature on its own. The energy savings are real — we noticed the difference on our first utility bill. The auto-away feature is particularly smart.

RV30 Max Plus
Incredible value for what you get — LiDAR navigation, 5300Pa suction, and a self-emptying dock all under $300. It maps the house accurately, avoids obstacles, and the app lets me set custom cleaning zones for each room.

Aqua Smart Water Controller
Automates the garden irrigation right from Apple Home. I set schedules based on time of day and weather conditions, and Siri can trigger watering on demand. Thread connectivity keeps it responsive even mounted outside by the spigot.

Max 7
Wi-Fi 7 with 10 Gbps support and Thread border router built in. This is the backbone of the entire smart home network — every device connects through it, and the coverage easily blankets the whole house with a single unit.

Pro 7
Added an Eero Pro 7 as a node to extend coverage to the far side of the house. Same Thread border router capability as the Max 7, which strengthens the mesh network for all my Thread-enabled smart home devices.
